I have been very low energy of late. Work’s been interesting as I sit in my office with heavy eyes and a bobbing head. Then there’s the lack of focus. I haven’t been able to really concentrate on my goals, like finishing novels and prepping Sidekick for publishing.
Today I had a really brilliant (ha ha) idea. At lunch, I scanned the drink section at the store and found a cold white chocolate double shot coffee.
It’s important to say that I don’t drink coffee. I don’t like it, and I shouldn’t really have it. Typically I don’t drink a lot of caffeine. I never touch energy drinks. But I was curious to see its effect on me.
Not doing that again.
The energy was great! I didn’t feel sleepy at all! But I was practically vibrating. My hands were too shaky for me to work speedily and smoothly. I dropped price tags at one point, and I wrinkled a few on accident.
Now I feel a little sick and like I’ll be crashing eventually.
Apparently I’m not meant to be the type of writer that survives on a caffeine IV drip. That’s probably a good thing.
I need to figure out how to boost my energy. There is a lot going on with my day, and it’s disheartening when I go to bed at night and realize I’ve hardly done anything that I want to (for my own betterment, like achieving goals). I’m not exhausted all the time, but I usually have some degree of tiredness. It’s frustrating.
But I think, with the right steps, I can remedy it.
