Thanksgiving was wonderful. I’m blessed to have parents who cook such delicious food! And I’m very grateful that I have a family that I enjoy spending time with.
We celebrate Christmas in the Widdison household, and it is probably my favorite holiday. My dad put up the lights on the house while Mom and I put up the tree. I’ve already done some of my Christmas shopping, and I’m excited to start wrapping everything.
Last year, I felt that Christmas came so fast that I didn’t have time to properly think about it and celebrate it. It’s one of those holidays that I want to enjoy the entire month of December (and the tail end of November). So I’m going to bask in the glow of the lights, sing to all my favorite songs, and think about the reason for the season that I believe in.
As a life update: I’m a few days behind on NaNoWriMo. I need to catch up! Unfortunately I have work early tomorrow, so I can’t stay up late to write. But it’s been such a good few days that I can’t really complain about the lack of words.
Sometimes it’s okay to be so immersed in life that I forget about writing. As long as I resurface and get back to work sooner rather than later!
