How I wish I had the energy of my four-year-old nephew.
I invited him to sleep over at my place since it had been a long time since we had our last sleepover. It’s very important that I have a good relationship with all my nephews and nieces, and I enjoy spending time with Kason. He cracks me up!
But man. So far we’ve had dinner (which involved me quickly cramming food in my mouth as he was getting impatient that I wasn’t done yet), running to the gas station to buy candy, grabbing paints and the multiple material he likes to paint on (his favorite are canvases), and I’ve just printed coloring pages for him to color. And while I’m typing this, he’s wanting me to color with him, so this is going to be short.
I want his energy. Do you know how much I could accomplish if I was anything like this incredible kid? I’d conquer every day.
Also, I loved this: He saw a canvas he worked on last time we painted, and he held it up and exclaimed, “Wow! This is so cool!” I hope he never loses the pride in what he creates.
