Help, I haven’t written in months.
Month November 2018
Hello, 50K
Yesterday I had the goal of hitting 50,000 words, and I hit it. It didn’t just feel good because I’d be mostly behind for all of November and I managed to reach the 50K a couple days early (and believe me, that in itself felt pretty good). I had actually achieved something I said I would do! Amazing!
Update: Day Twenty-Eight
I was behind for several days, always writing but never getting quite enough words. Sometimes a post to my blog was as much writing as I got done, but it still meets the goal I had set for myself. Last night I managed to hit 45,000 words, officially on par with what the word count needed to be yesterday. Today I need 46,667 if I want to be on track.
When We Were Young
I never thought my relationship with my brothers was much different than anyone else’s with their siblings, but adults liked to comment how amazing it was that we got along like we did. I was the oldest and the only girl, but my little brothers–three and a half to eight years younger than me–were my best friends.
Tunes
Maybe there are people who like to listen to absolutely nothing when they’re working. Silence could do them good. Others have to have a soundtrack.
Notebook
I told myself not to spend money on stuff I don’t need. I’m trying to be smart with my finances. But there was a deal on a Chromebook that I decided to act on, and it’ll be delivered within the next little while.
“Hey, Ashton?”
“What should I write about tonight?” I asked my five-year-old nephew.
“Motorcycles,” he said.
Oops, I Did It Again
I’m behind on my word count by two days. I’ll catch up, no sweat (I think).
Happy Thanksgiving
The Happiest of Thanksgivings to everyone! I love Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and it’s fortunate one is right after the other.
Wait, Go Back
The only way to finish something is to keep moving forward. No matter what, just keep plunging ahead.
